#4: Policies for nature restoration on municipal owned land

Join us to hear from Barcelona Metropolitan Area on their Sustainability Protocol which outlines requirements for green infrastructure according to location (targets for building street, and park level), permeability of surfaces, biodiversity enhancement for new developments, rainwater management and more. #2 Developing a municipal roadmap for urban ecosystem restoration

This webinar focused on how cities can develop municipal roadmaps and Urban Nature Plans that are impactful, measurable, and aligned with community priorities and national objectives. Participants heard insights from experts in three cities that are leading the way on restoring nature in urban ecosystems. #3 Building and spatial regulations for nature restoration

This session focused on the policies and planning approaches that cities can adopt to bring nature back into the built environment. From single-building interventions to large-scale regeneration schemes, it discussed how nature restoration can be embedded into building regulations, planning policies, and retrofitting programmes. The conversation also explored how urban targets under the Nature Restoration Law (NRL) can align with other EU frameworks such as the Renewable Energy Directive (RED) and the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED).
